Because three of my top several favorite Radiohead songs weren't on the set list at Outside Lands...
I admit Radiohead was as great live as most people say they are (even though I didn't get the full experience because I couldn't see the stage all that well). I don't know if I should say I like them more now, because I might have just been reminded of why I liked them in the first place.

Got Her Feelin' Popular
Because:
1) I actually like this song.
2) When I was considering whether or not to blog this song, one of the "pros" was "it's not featuring Lil' Wayne," and then he started rapping... That's kind of funny right?
-and-
3) Cassie is really, really nice looking.

We've Been Had
I like this song, bizarre video and all. It's the latest by the band that did the catchy song in that Saturn commercial with all the kids.
I Don't Want to Fall Asleep
It takes a pretty awesome fake trailer to convince a movie studio to make it into a real motion picture:

Because people forget how dope The Dungeon Family is...
Sorry about the crappy video. It's all I could find.

Scream On "Em
When it's after midnight, you've just spent the last 7 hours standing and walking around through large crowds and huge plumes of marijuana smoke, you haven't eaten dinner yet, you can't seem to catch a cab or bus to save your life, and you've been through one of the most surreal Friday nights of the year, it's important to appreciate the little things.
Admittingly, I did spend the night listening to some awesome music at Outside Lands (which I may or may not review later) but I was done well before I realized I was stuck in the Richmond District. This video helped kill more time than it should have. Also, I think it further backs up my "I don't care if it is fake, it's still hilarious" theory, that I stand behind 90% of the time I see a random, hard-to-believe viral video. I don't care if it is fake, it's still hilarious. Thanks to Zac for pointing this my way.

Back 'Em Down!
Listening to M.O.P. is always a charged, intense experience... even when delivered through the mouths of Bert & Ernie.
Things Done Changed
Interesting how the Internet has changed how artists release music. I was pretty surprised and confused that The Game released a preview to his song with Lil' Wayne called "My Life". I had forgotten Jay did the same thing for "Blue Magic". Now, E-40 is getting his, with this featuring Akon single. I'm only posting it because 40 Wata really looks like Prop Joe in the video. Awesome.

Changing Lanes
I'm not one to get all riled up about cyclists' rights and cars are the devil and eff the system. Sure, I ride critical mass sometimes but I'm not trying to make a statement or ruffle anyone's feathers. I just like riding my bike. That being said, this video is interesting. The bottom line is that motorists do stupid, illegal things and so do cyclists. I'll leave it that.
Saw it here.

Got Yourself A Gun
The Life & Times of Tim looks awesome. Maybe it can save Sundays for HBO if Entourage continues its downward spiral, and if Trueblood and this show both tank.

This Feeling Is Wonderful!
Speaking of the best music videos of 2008, Fader just introduced me to Mixtape Club. Those folks do some seriously cool stuff. All I can say is you should definitely see things for yourself. Here's their latest, a video for My Morning Jacket:
Seriously, check out their website. In addition to being able to watch and download the insanely cool videos they make, you can also stream their mixtapes. Even though, I'll probably never give them a listen, that has to be one of the coolest things ever.
Also, I'm really digging the My Morning Jacket song.

The Robots Are Coming!
J5 (and Cut Chemist) used to be one of my favorite hip hop groups but somewhere along the way, I just lost interest in their brand of light-hearted throwback rap. In the past year or so, Cut has been making noise with his latest tour with DJ Shadow and with a quick cameo in Juno, as a chemistry teacher. Today, I stumbled upon his latest video for "1st Big Break". Ignoring the fact that the song is over two years old, I have to say it's awesome. It is the first music video shot with a 360 panoramic lens. I don't know exactly how revolutionary that is, but it makes for a dope video.
Recently, I've been in a debate with a couple of friends over the best music video of this year. I'd have to say this one should at least enter the conversation.

I'm Serious...
Kids do the darndest things. In this case, they recreate the trailer for The Dark Knight.

Roll Out
Jamie and I went on a decent ride through the city on Saturday. Our main destinations were the ocean and Stonestown, and we stopped at Haight on the way home too. Coming back from Stonestown, we rode through parts of West Portal. It was nothing too exciting but I had never been there before so that was cool I guess. I want to get into going for long rides through different parts of the city (especially neighborhoods I don't normally visit) and this ride was a good start.

I'm On The Run
Yesterday was one of those days when I go for a jog and somewhere along the way, I decide to do a 10k (or in this case, 12.4k). At about 8 minutes out, I thought it'd be a good idea to run for a long time so I ended up doing 7.7 miles in 61 minutes. I'm a little sore today but I don't ache as much as I thought I would.

That Just Happened
I just downloaded this mixtape. Yes, Asher Roth is a white rapper. Yes, the kid sounds exactly like Eminem on some tracks. Yes, his songs are kind of corny. Even so, I have to say the mixtape is pretty good. He's got some flow to him and he messes around with some clever wordplay. It's a free download, so it's probably worth checkin' out.
Speaking of corny, even an Akon cameo can't save this video for his "Roc Boys" song. Even though he's marketing himself (or being marketed) as the suburban rapper, this seems a little too goofy for its own good.
P.S. He raps over John Mayer's "Waiting On The World To Change". (The link is just John.)
P.P.S. He murders "A Milli". Check it.
This Ain't New, This Ain't New
This video is equal parts dumb and cool.
I'm glad Pusha got the last verse because his was by far the standout. Lupe's was good too.

No More Drama
Just the thought of Fav-re is exciting. It doesn't matter that he's old and throws a lot of interceptions and that he used to get tore up by the Bucs' D. I'm not saying he would make them instant contenders but if this actually happens... Hmmm. At the very least, maybe they'd televise more Tampa games on the west coast.
(Once again, who picks the music for these ESPN videos? Awesome...)

These Eyes
Another movie I'll probably see in which awkward Michael Cera probably does funny things:
I think I saw Harold Lee in the trailer but it's unconfirmed on IMDB.
