I Wanna Change The Game

What would Ben Lee do? He'd write a song about Hova, that's what. This is corny and weird and pretty great actually...

Maybe I'm Crazy

You might question me but I'm kind of feeling this... It's one of those rare R&B/rap tracks that would probably be better without the rapping, kind of like Scar's "U Got Me!!!" from Got Purp Vol. 2.

Bring Da Ruckus!

Back in the day, I played Street Fighter II like crazy. I remember playing for hours at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz and at bowling alleys and comic book stores in Concord. I played a bit on SNES too but I always preferred the arcade controls over the d-pad controller. Anyway, by the time Street Fighter III came out, I was a little older and pretty much over wasting money on arcade games and killing the day mashing buttons in front of the television (for the most part). I may have to check this one out though. It looks really clean and hopefully it takes the series back to the old days before they introduced all the combos and super special moves. I don't know...

Do That There

I've been too busy trying to get into a work out routine and watching The Wire late at night to post anything these past few days. Since I've been up to nothing interesting, here's a video of some folks who are more creative (and nerdy) than me.

Happy Happy Happy, Joy Joy Joy

Hot Pocket had a handful of people over at her place for my birthday dinner/movie night. The highlight was some tasty homemade crème brûlée. Thanks HP!

At Rising Tide

Today, I took the N Judah out to pick up my bike from the shop. They were cutting the fork down for me and swapping out the 16t cog with a 15t. (I had wanted to step the chainring up to 46t from 44t instead of switching cogs, but they wouldn't do it for free.) Now, the bike's pretty much complete. It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted but I really happy with it anyway.

The weather in the city was great so I rode out to the ocean from the bike store. I wanted to post some pictures but they all came out looking pretty terrible.

It was a pretty good ride. I can tell I'm riding a bigger gear ratio now but it's not that much more difficult getting around. Once I get in better shape, I am thinking about stepping up to an even bigger ratio anyway. In general, I'm getting more comfortable with riding brakeless, and I think I'm getting stronger on the bike all-around. This bike definitely rides different from my Iro but that's a good thing. It fits me better but I get pretty bad toe-over when I make tight turns at low speeds.

One thing I wanted to mention: I highly recommend double straps. After running single straps for the past couple years, I got Soma quad-gate clips with Soma double straps for my new bike. It's a pretty entry-level set up but they are much, much better than what I've used before. It's really easy to find the straps when I start riding and my feet stay firmly in place when I'm cranking away. There are a ton of upgrades on my new bike compared to my last one but the straps/clips are most noticeable at this point.

Peace.

Two Words

What does Mr. West have in common with Willie Nelson, Randy Moss, Joey Fatone and Andrew Dice Clay? Search Engines! From the looks of it, you'll need to do some major googling to get anything but try to win yourself some Kanye merch if you want...
