I Wonder...
This is part of some viral marketing campaign for Valencia and Unibet. When they show EspaƱeta, he's knocking the ball into the goal post similar to the Joga Bonito ad where Ronaldinho also used the goal to pass it to himself. I'm not saying they blatantly stole the idea but they kind of did.
There's something really cute about the tiny Japanese woman from Tokyo Sport speaking Spanish to Joaquin. Before being interrupted, she asks him about food and about playing football in Japan. He says how he likes paella and gazpacho over sushi, and that it's possible that he could play football in Japan in the future. I think.
This reminded me of when I helped a Mexican lady buy the right train tickets in Tokyo during my Japan trip. My Spanish is pretty terrible and my Japanese is even worse, but somehow I got her to Kobe or where ever she was going. At least I hope...

Pa Rum Pum Pum Pum
I don't remember how I stumbled upon this video a few months ago but it's pretty cool and I've got a story to go along with it. Back in April I went to Japan for 2 weeks with Lauren, Max and Wendy. On our first evening in Kyoto, we noticed a crowd around one of the entrances to a rail station. We went to check it out and found this little boy playing drums like a mad man. As you can tell from the video, he was really good. Too bad the camera guy didn't pan across the audience to film the crowd's reactions because I think I was standing just behind and to the left of him.

All I've Got is a Pair of Ice Creams
I love ice cream and frozen yogurt. This is me shoving my face full of ice cream in Japan, at a place called Ice Cream City. I don't remember what flavor I got but it was delicious.

It's not exactly Ice Cream City but the corner store, which is less than a half a block from my front door, just got a frozen yogurt machine. Hopefully, I don't look like a sumo wrestler the next time you see me. I think I'm in trouble...
